Hula Workshops in San Diego

This annual event at the end of January sees Kumu Lei in San Diego, California, spending time with her mainland USA extension led by Auntie Kahanoa Floresca and leading several workshops that touch on various aspects of hula.

The event involves the setting up of a temporary Cultural Village at which various high-profile artists, cultural practitioners and business owners, including authors and ipu artists are invited to share their knowledge and skills with workshop participants.

It’s a colourful, warm and nurturing annual happening despite its whirlwind schedule, and always sports a richly engaging and fulfilling programme. All are welcome!
